Can I film/photograph in the Library as part of my university studies? Last Updated: May 21, 2019 Views: 212
The Library welcomes requests for filming or photography in University Library and Student Central areas. Any filming or photography should be undertaken with respect for students studying who do not wish to be disturbed or might be uncomfortable with filming or photography taking place around them.
The University Library's Learning Partnerships team is responsible for coordinating all filming and photography within the University Library and Student Central areas. This includes:
- City Campus Library
- University Library Digital Commons
- Coach Lane Library
- Law Practice Library
- Student Central at City Campus Library, at Coach Lane Library and at CCE1.
The team consider all requests received, however approval may be subject to the academic calendar (exam periods etc.) and other events already taking place at the requested time/date.
We ask that you give us at least 24 hours’ notice during normal working hours (9am-5pm, Mon-Fri) before the filming or photography takes place. This gives us time to brief staff and put up notices that inform Library and Student Central users when and where the activity will be taking place. A member of the Learning Partnerships team will get back to you as soon as possible following receipt of your request.
