Can I share my EndNote references with other people in my study group?

Yes. As long as they have their own EndNote library. To do this:

  • Highlight the references you wish to send. Click FileExport.
  • From the dialogue box choose where you want to save the file (Desktop, Udrive). Change the file name if required, change the Save as type to XML, the Output style should be RefMan (RIS) export and the Export Selected References box should be ticked.
  • Send the file in an email. The other person needs to open and save the attachment and open their EndNote library. From the File menu choose ImportFile, select the file from where it was saved. Change the Import options to EndNote generated XML and click Import. The references will display in the Imported References window.
