A good place to start your literature search is by articulating the keywords and concepts in your research field and identifying any relevant synonyms.

The University Library's webguide, 'Introduction to literature searching for your literature review' explains each aspect of planning your search, and is an excellent guide to understanding searching strategy.

If you have reviewed this online support and would like to meet with a member of staff from the Library for advice, please email the Skills Development Team. You can also find help with searching and research skills on Skills Plus.
